See. I battled cancer in 2007 and have been living with permanent chronic dry mouth ever since. Like you, I searched and searched and tried every available solution out there and like you I discovered that none of them work. Well, that made me mad. But I soon turned that mad energy into constructive energy and developed the XEROS Dry Mouth Pump. However, I could not do it alone.

My Story about the XEROS
I am near 5 years out as a cancer survivor. I suffer from chronic dry mouth. It is as bad today as it was after radiation treatment in 2007. My problem is, is the radiation is designed to kill fast replicating cells (cancer) however saliva producing cells are also fast replicating and become victims of the radiation treatment.
Over the years I tried most every commercially available product including an artificial saliva from Germany not yet available in the States at that time. None of them work!
If you read many of these commercial dry mouth remedies labels, they state that they are designed to stimulate saliva production. Guess what? I don't have any saliva producing cells left to stimulate. Therefore, they are totally useless.
Saliva is near 95-99% water, depending whose scientific papers you read. The remaining percent are substances that fight bacteria and help form a bolus around solid food particles such that they can moved to the back of the mouth and swallowed.
Therefore, scientifically, water is the WETTING agent. Normally, saliva will be produced when your body calls for it. That can be a liter a day on average.
In 2008 I became frustrated with having no solutions for chronic dry mouth caused by cancer radiation treatment. So, I developed one. It is called the XEROS Dry Mouth Pump which can be seen at http://drymouthpump.com I have been using the device daily for over 2 years and it completely turned my life around from one of despair to a fully productive almost normal life. I even formed a corporation, achieved FDA clearance for the XEROS in April of this year to market it as a medical device and am currently battling Medicare and the private health insurances to reimburse the device.
As you know, chronic dry mouth is debilitating and painful especially at night while sleeping. The XEROS effectively remedies that. You will achieve a decent night of sleep. I personally went from no sleep at all to sleeping like a happy baby. I am also quite active at over 60 years old. I wear the XEROS whenever I work outdoors or exercise. Without it my mouth would dry up within seconds! I also give long presentations to medical professionals in cancer clinics, introducing the XEROS to them. I wear it then. Without it, I would have to sip from a bottle every few minutes.
